Robotics Club
Claremore High School participates in the VEX Robotics program. The program involves designing and building robots to meet given constraints to compete in a predetermined game. The teams meet (practice) twice a week after school to work on their designs and robots. Practice begins each fall shortly after school starts with actual competitions starting in December and running through February. Each robot built has the opportunity to compete for a bid to the VEX World Competition each April.
The team has made one trip to the World Competition in Orlando, Florida at Disney World in April 2011. The CHS Robotics team competed with over 400 teams from 16 different countries including Brazil, Singapore, Japan, China, Germany, Canada, and Puerto Rico. What an awesome experience for those students!
All students are welcome to join our team. The team is looking for hard-working, creative, team-players who like to build things. See Mrs. Kimblern in Room 604 if you would like to be part of the fun!
